An architecture revealed step by step
For Catherine Barreira, a project does not begin with a form or a style, but with a meeting. A personality, an identity, a way of living, working or entertaining: so many starting points that feed the architectural thinking.
Architecture takes shape along the way. Spaces follow on from one another, perspectives open up, volumes are gradually revealed. The journey through the place offers different readings of it, between continuity and discovery.
This approach goes hand in hand with a search for simplicity in the lines and precision in the drawing. Every detail contributes to the coherence of the whole, without ever overshadowing what matters most: the way places are lived in.

A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Malaquais in 2005, Catherine Barreira has worked in architecture for more than twenty years, mainly on projects in the luxury sector.
She built much of her career at the RDAI studio, where she worked for fifteen years, gaining solid experience in the design, development and management of architectural projects.
Those years shaped her eye and her approach to architecture, combining creative sensitivity, technical rigour and command of every stage of a project.
In 2021, her career took a new direction with the founding of Barreira Architecture. This independence now allows her to bring her experience to a wide range of projects, while cultivating a personal approach and a direct relationship with the people she works with.
